It has long been a fact that God reserves for Himself a remnant of people from every tribe, every nation, and every tongue. I believe that this also includes the Muslim peoples all over this globe. More and more Muslims are coming to faith in 'Isa Masi and I am excited that the Lord has allowed me to be a part of this great harvest. I am anticipating seeing the Lord at work, and indeed He is already bringing Muslims to faith in Him. I recently heard of a young man came to the Lord in an African village. Now he wishes all to know the hope of Isa.
That is the reason for this blog! I hope that many Muslims will visit this site, seeking to have their objections to Christianity answered.
God has given me a heart to reach the Muslims for Jesus Christ.
I have recently begun visiting a Mosque every Friday during mid-day prayers and talking to Muslims about their relationship with God. Of course they always answer in the affirmative, claiming that God is near them. But they can never really be certain of this and have no real validity of their assertions. I was recently talking to a Muslim and asked him how he knew that God would be pleased enough with him in order to go to Heaven. He eventually told me that he could do everything right and mess up one time and God would wipe away everything good he had done up to that point. My heart went out to him and I almost wanted to cry. Here this man was, doing everything right, but doing everything wrong! His way of obtaining God's favor was through an outward, external righteousness, never being concerned that it is the inside that must change.I knew that Muslims were big on the Old Testament and so I decided to ask him a question:
"Are you familiar with the prophet Isaiah?"
"Yes, I am."
"Are you aware that Isaiah is speaking for God when he says, 'All our righteous deeds are as filthy rags'"?
The man looked extremely confused. He did not have a clue why God would look at our "good stuff" as dirty, stinking, smelly, old rags. When he inquired about this, I tried to explain to him that because Adam disobeyed God in the Garden, he passed on his sinful acts and nature to all human beings. Of course Muslims do not have a concept, nor are they ever taught about original sin, and so this confused him even more. Muslims are taught (from the Qu'ran, or an Imam) that Adam didn't really sin. He just "forgot" God's command not to eat the fruit. Therefore, man is basically good until he learns how to sin. Now according to the Qu'ran, God still kicked Adam out of the Garden. So my next question would be,
"If Adam simply forgot and God was okay with it, why did he get kicked out?"
Most Muslims cannot answer this in a valid way. They will simply parrot what they have been taught, which varies from Muslim to Muslim.I stood talking with my friend for an hour about original sin and our need for a Savior. He didn't buy any of it, which I expected would happen, and just moments before the rain came bursting out of the sky, we parted ways. I am anticipating our next meeting. I hope to be able to convince him of the truth of the Gospel. I know that God must convict, but I can sure try my best to persuade him of his dead-works religion. My friend is not the only Muslim in this world. Unfortunately, millions are following the so called "Straight Path." It breaks my heart to see so many led astray, to see so many place their faith in a religion of a man who claimed to have seen a vision; a vision that no one else saw, heard, or experienced but him. Every Muslim I have talked to will claim that although this is true the vision must be valid because Mohammed was skeptical of the vision himself until he consulted hi wife and uncle. Wait a minute! I thought that consulting someone else other than God was what God Adam and Eve kicked out the Garden in the first place?
My reason for writing this is threefold:
Christian, do you suppose that Muslims are weary and burdened with their endless efforts to please God? If so, help them remove the load of works and show them the Cross of grace.Muslim, are you weary from your travel of self-righteousness? Isa offers you rest, but you must come on His terms. It is not Mohammed that will save you. It is Jesus! He has offered to take your burdens and your sins and cast them as far as the East is from the West. Wouldn't it be wonderful to know that your sins are completely gone? Past present and future? How glorious that would be! Just as the Scripture says, "Blessed is the man whose sin the Lord does not count against him (Psalm 32:2).And so with this post, I exhort Christians to reach out to Muslims. But do not begin to pray for the Muslims halfway across the world to be won to Christ if you are not willing to walk across the street to win them.

My reason for writing this is threefold:
Because I love the Muslims and want to see them come to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ. Any Muslim who reads this should know that I am not insulting him/her or trying to poke holes in your theology. My motive is pure and simple. Please turn to Jesus Christ before it is eternally too late!
I believe there is a great harvest that awaits the person who is willing to work in the Muslim "fields." I am so excited when I read about Muslims coming to faith in Isa. I also believe that to effectively win my Muslim friends to Christ I must be prepared to answer any honest questions that they may have. For too long, Christians have refused to understand the Muslim and his objection to the Christian doctrines that we hold so dear. So I challenge any Christian who is out there and may read this to study and learn what Muslims learn so that you may also be equipped to better answer any of their objections.
I do not now, nor will I ever advocate an "us against them" mentality. I believe that Muslims are eternally lost and condemned to Hell unless they come to saving faith in Jesus Christ. But to have a superiority complex because I have the inside scoop, and then to look down upon the Muslim just because he is a Muslim is a great sin and dishonoring to God. We are told to win those who are lost, not to slit their throats with cursings and to pierce their stomaches with insults. Isa (Jesus) has said,"Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest."
